So today is the last day of 2009. That kind of snuck up on me. I’m happy for the excitement of the new year though.

One must wonder though, now that there aren’t two zeros together in the middle of the year, what in the world are they going to do for those kooky glasses in New York? Have a 1 down your nose? A 1-shaped eye piece. That would be disorienting to me.

Well, no matter what shape your glasses are this New Year’s, I hope they are all slightly rose-tinted and that everyone has a wonderful night, and a great year ahead! Welcome, twenty-ten!

So I haven’t been posting a lot, one reason being, I’ve been busy taking photos! I founded and currently run the GVSU Photography Club, so I’m always planning and participating in Photo Shoots for that, most recently being a night time photo shoot, and a walk though downtown Grand Rapids viewing Art Prize pieces on display throughout the city. The other event being a wedding I shot, as representative for the Photo Club. It was so much fun! I hope to do more weddings.

These are not all the photos lately. These are just the ones from the beginning of October. I’ve been so swamped with school and NaNoWriMo and other projects that I’ve been slow to get around to edit my photos. So expect fall photos round about when it starts snowing! Just kidding… I hope.

#3. Watch a meteor shower, and #6. Go clubbing, have both happened this summer. And at the same time. Well… on one occasion.
Anyways, over the summer, me and my gal pals actually drove up to good old GR on a few occasions to go clubbing at the Wednesday night 18+ place. It was lots of fun, and quite enjoyable. Though at first it took some convincing of my mother, but that was settled. I love clubbing now. Dressing up cute and just letting loose and dancing for a while with a bunch of girlfriends until you’re exhausted, and then piling back in a car to drive back home.
However, on one of these particular rides home, I grabbed shotgun. And as we get away from the city lights and out on the dark highway, I begin seeing little flashes of light out of the corner of my eye in the sky. I begin watching the sky and realize that there’s a meteor shower! About every 1-3 minutes we would see a shooting star streak straight down towards the southern horizon in the sky. It was beautiful, and I loved having a, literal and figurative, front seat. Haha.
So this post is very late, but it still counts right? Of course it does. Onwards to check off more on my list of 101 Things to Do in 1001 Days!

So it’s been my first week back on campus. I’ve been reuniting with friends and wandering the campus again. And I’ve started a new flickr album for the many more photos sure to come this fall as I run the Photography Club for it’s first full year.
